1. How do I choose my first saddle box?
There is no single model that works for everyone. The right choice depends mainly on how much equipment you need to store, how much space you have available and how you plan to use your saddle box. Cavlux therefore offers models in different sizes and capacities to suit different needs.
2. How do I choose the right size saddle box?
The size of your saddle box should primarily match the amount of equipment you need to store and the space available. It is worth allowing a little extra room, but remember that a larger saddle box also takes up more space, both in the tack room and during transport.
3. What is the largest Cavlux saddle box?
Currently, the Superior Rider is the largest model available for purchase. Cavlux is working on the larger Alto Rider model, which is still in development and is not yet available for purchase. Once launched, the Alto Rider will be the largest saddle box in the Cavlux range.
4. What should I measure before buying a saddle box?
Measure not only the space where the saddle box will be kept, but also doorways and access routes. Make sure there is enough room to open and use the saddle box comfortably.
5. Which wheels should I choose for my saddle box?
Cavlux saddle boxes are fitted with 120 mm wheels as standard. Larger 160 mm wheels are also available for selected configurations. The best option depends on where and how you plan to use your saddle box.
Saddles, capacity and weight
1. Can a Cavlux saddle box hold two saddles?
Yes, selected Cavlux models can accommodate two saddles. However, this depends on the type and size of the saddles, so not every combination of two saddles will fit.
2. Can two dressage saddles fit in a Cavlux saddle box?
No. Due to the size and shape of dressage saddles, our standard Cavlux models are not designed to accommodate two dressage saddles at the same time.
3. How do I choose a saddle box for my saddles?
The number of saddles is not the only factor – their type and size matter too. If you are unsure, send us information about your saddles before ordering and we will help you assess which model is suitable. Our standard Cavlux models do not provide enough space for two dressage saddles.
4. How much does a Cavlux saddle box weigh?
The weight depends on the model and configuration. The current weight of each Cavlux model is listed on its product page. When choosing your saddle box, it is also worth considering the weight of the equipment you will be storing inside.
5. Is a fully loaded Cavlux saddle box easy to manoeuvre?
Cavlux saddle boxes are fitted with wheels designed to make moving and manoeuvring easier. How easy a loaded saddle box is to move will also depend on the amount and weight of the equipment inside and the type of surface.
Construction and technology
1. What are Cavlux saddle boxes made of?
Cavlux saddle boxes are made from laminated plywood and fitted with structural components used in flight case technology. These solutions are also used in professional transport cases. Detailed information about materials and equipment is provided with each model.
2. What does it mean that Cavlux saddle boxes use flight case technology?
Flight case technology is used to manufacture professional transport cases for equipment that needs reliable protection during repeated handling and transportation. Cavlux saddle boxes are built using the same technology.
3. Why does Cavlux use flight case technology for saddle boxes?
Because we know it from hands-on experience. For more than 20 years, GO!PACK has been using flight case technology to manufacture professional transport cases, including cases for heavy and delicate equipment. The first Cavlux saddle box was created 12 years ago. Since then, we have continued to develop our own models, combining GO!PACK’s manufacturing experience with the knowledge gained from designing saddle boxes specifically for equestrian use. Different equipment, different purpose – but the same expertise in design and manufacturing.
4. Why is ventilation important in a saddle box?
Equestrian equipment can be damp after use, so an enclosed storage space should allow air to circulate. Cavlux saddle boxes are fitted with ventilation grilles to support airflow inside the box.
5. What is the relationship between Cavlux and GO!PACK?
Cavlux is a brand created by GO!PACK, a Polish manufacturer with more than 20 years of experience in producing professional transport cases. Cavlux saddle boxes are designed and manufactured using GO!PACK’s technical facilities, manufacturing expertise and proven solutions from flight case technology.
Cavlux saddle box models
1. What are the differences between Cavlux saddle box models?
Cavlux models differ mainly in size, capacity and interior organisation. Pony Rider is the smallest model in the collection, Junior Rider provides more room for equipment, while Superior Rider offers generous storage space. The right model depends on the amount and type of equipment you need to store and the space you have available.
2. Where can I find the dimensions, weight and equipment of the Pony Rider?
The current dimensions, weight, standard equipment and available configuration options are listed directly on the Pony Rider product page.
3. Can having their own saddle box help a child learn to keep their equipment organised?
A saddle box will not teach organisation on its own, but it gives a child a dedicated place for their equipment. This makes it easier to develop the habit of preparing what they need before riding and putting everything back in its place afterwards.
4. Who is the Junior Rider designed for?
Junior Rider is designed for riders who need space for a saddle, accessories and other equestrian equipment and want to keep everything organised in one place. It comes with two saddle racks, one of which can also be placed in the side holder.
5. When should I choose the Superior Rider?
Superior Rider is worth considering if you need plenty of storage space for your equipment and have enough room to position and use the saddle box comfortably.
Custom-made saddle boxes and individual orders
1. Can I order a custom-sized saddle box?
Yes. In addition to our standard Cavlux collection, we also make individually adapted saddle boxes. The extent to which dimensions can be changed depends on the construction, so every project is assessed individually.
2. Can I leave out the Cavlux engraving or request my own design?
Yes. You can choose not to have the standard engraving or ask us about an individual design, such as your own logo or an image of your horse. Before confirming the order, we need to check whether the material you provide is technically suitable for engraving. If you provide your own logo, photograph or artwork, we will also need confirmation that you have the right to use it. Every individual design must be approved before production.
3. Can I change the dimensions of a standard Cavlux model?
In some cases, yes. If the construction allows it, we can adapt a selected model to meet a specific requirement.
4. How do I choose a saddle box for a horsebox?
Start by carefully measuring the space available for the saddle box, including the room needed to use it comfortably. We can assess whether a saddle box can be adapted to fit a specific space in your horsebox.
5. Can the equipment inside my saddle box be customised?
Some elements can be individually made or modified. What is possible depends on the selected model, the installation location and the construction of the saddle box.
6. Do I need to prepare a technical drawing for a custom-made saddle box?
No. Simply describe what you need and, where relevant, send us measurements and photos of the available space. A simple hand-drawn sketch can also be very helpful. Cavlux will assess the technical feasibility.
7. Is every modification possible?
No. Some elements cannot be changed for structural reasons. We assess every request before confirming whether a modification can be made.
Ordering, delivery and customer service
1. How long does it take to complete an order?
Production usually takes between 2 and 5 weeks, depending on the selected model, configuration and our current production schedule. We confirm the expected completion date individually. Some models are available from stock and can therefore be dispatched sooner.
2. How are Cavlux saddle boxes delivered?
Cavlux saddle boxes are shipped by freight carrier within Poland and to selected EU countries. Each saddle box is carefully secured for transport before dispatch. When your order arrives, we recommend checking the shipment for visible transport damage. Any damage should be photographed and recorded with the carrier in a damage report.
3. Can I collect my Cavlux saddle box in person?
Yes. You can collect your saddle box directly from our premises in Gołańcz, Poland. Please arrange the collection date with us in advance.
4. How can I order a Cavlux saddle box?
You can place an order through the Cavlux online shop or contact us by email. For custom-sized saddle boxes or individual modifications, we first discuss your requirements and assess what can be made.
5. Where can I find current Cavlux prices?
Current prices for standard models and available configurations are listed in the Cavlux online shop. Custom modifications and made-to-measure saddle boxes are quoted individually once the scope of the project has been agreed.
Warranty, service and care
1. What warranty do Cavlux saddle boxes come with?
Cavlux saddle boxes are covered by a warranty in accordance with the applicable warranty terms. The warranty covers material and manufacturing defects that occur during proper use of the product. Full warranty terms can be found in the “Cavlux Certificate and Warranty” document.
2. How do I make a warranty claim?
Contact us by email and describe the problem. Please include your order or invoice number and, if possible, photographs showing the defect or damage. Once we receive your claim, we will let you know what to do next.
3. Can a damaged Cavlux saddle box be repaired?
In many cases, yes. We offer a paid repair service and can replace selected components such as wheels, locks, hinges and other wear parts. We assess each repair individually depending on the type and extent of the damage.
4. Is a Cavlux saddle box waterproof?
A Cavlux saddle box can be exposed to rain, for example during transport or at an event. If it gets wet, simply wipe it dry and leave it in a dry place. It is not designed for permanent outdoor storage or prolonged exposure to water and should not be cleaned with a pressure washer.
5. How should I care for my Cavlux saddle box?
For everyday cleaning, use a soft, damp cloth and a mild cleaning product. Avoid harsh chemicals, strong impacts and excessive loads. The saddle box should not be used as a seat, platform or step.
6. Are protective covers available for Cavlux saddle boxes?
Yes. Dedicated protective covers are available for selected models. They help protect the saddle box from dust, dirt and brief exposure to rain. Current availability can be checked in the Cavlux online shop.
7. How should I care for my Cavlux protective cover?
For everyday care, follow the cleaning instructions provided for your particular cover. If it becomes heavily soiled, gentle hand washing at a low temperature is recommended. Do not tumble dry or iron the cover directly. Keep the zips clean and avoid pulling or forcing them.
8. Are additional accessories available for Cavlux saddle boxes?
Yes. Additional accessories and equipment are available for selected Cavlux models. You can find the current range in our online shop. If you need something that is not part of the standard range, contact us and we will check whether it can be made or adapted.
