Which Cavlux saddle box for two saddles?

Which Cavlux saddle box for two saddles?

Which Cavlux saddle box for two saddles?

If you are looking for a saddle box for two saddles, the two Cavlux models to consider first are Junior Rider and Superior Rider. Both come with two removable, height-adjustable saddle racks as standard. However, having two saddle racks does not mean that any two saddles will fit. The type, size and shape of the saddles matter. From our experience, two jumping saddles can be stored in both Junior Rider and Superior Rider. Two large dressage saddles, however, do not fit in the standard Cavlux models. This is why choosing a saddle box for two saddles should start with your own equipment – and only then with comparing the models.

Junior Rider – two saddles in a more compact saddle box

Junior Rider is 60 cm wide, 60 cm deep and 140 cm high including the wheels. The empty saddle box weighs 46 kg. Inside, there are two removable, height-adjustable saddle racks. One of them can be removed from the interior and placed in the holder on the side of the saddle box. This allows you to keep a saddle directly beside the box while preparing your equipment, without needing an additional saddle stand. Junior Rider also features a drawer, a pull-out interior hanger and space for additional equipment. It is worth considering if your saddles fit inside and you also want to keep the external dimensions relatively compact.

Superior Rider – more space for the rest of your equipment

Superior Rider is 90 cm wide, 60 cm deep and 140 cm high including the wheels, with an empty weight of 88 kg. Like Junior Rider, it comes with two removable, height-adjustable saddle racks as standard. Its additional width primarily provides more space for other equipment. Superior Rider features three drawers of different depths and an additional drawer above the saddle area, which can be used for items such as saddle pads. It is particularly worth considering if you want to store more riding equipment alongside your saddles.

Two jumping saddles or two dressage saddles?

This is a more important question than the number of saddle racks alone. Two jumping saddles can fit in both Junior Rider and Superior Rider – something we also know from the way our customers actually use their Cavlux saddle boxes. Individual saddle models can vary in size and shape, however, so your own equipment should always be considered before choosing a model. The standard Cavlux models do not provide enough space for two large dressage saddles. If you need a saddle box for this particular combination, or your saddles have unusual dimensions, contact us. We can check whether a solution tailored to your requirements is technically possible.

Junior Rider or Superior Rider?

If your saddles fit in both models, the amount of additional equipment and the space available for the saddle box may ultimately determine your choice. Junior Rider is the better starting point if you prefer a more compact saddle box. Superior Rider provides more room for saddle pads, bridles, a helmet, boots and other accessories. A larger saddle box is not automatically the better choice. The right one is the model that suits your specific equipment, the space available and the way you intend to use it.

How do you choose a Cavlux saddle box for two saddles?

Start with the type and dimensions of your saddles. Then consider how much additional equipment you want to store and how much space you have available for the saddle box. Only then compare Junior Rider and Superior Rider. If neither standard model suits your particular equipment, talk to us – as the manufacturer, we can assess whether a different solution is possible within the construction requirements.
